The Shanty is a restored beachfront Cottage set in a secluded private bay on the Mahurangi Harbour. High tide comes up to the sundeck, from where guests can watch fish jumping by day and the moonlight shining a path on the water at night. The sandy tidal beach is private for guest use only, offering safe swimming for children, fishing and kayaking with equipment provided. The Cottage is fully self catering, with Warkworth township 15 minutes drive away.
